Reece - The Explorer

Reece is on the move! He is getting so brave. His curiosity is getting the best of him. He hardly thinks twice about venturing out of the room, down the hall, or discovering the exciting world of dust bunnies underneath my dining room table! The baby gate still hasn't come in and I am so nervous he is going to try and find his way down the stairs. To put my fears at rest, we've placed a dining room chair sideways across the steps (attractive I know). I don't think it could stop him since he is a very talented climber, but it will certainly slow him down. Everything is so new and exciting! No need for fancy toys...plastic containers, tags, and Bella seem to be interesting enough!

Reece caught a bit of a cold, terrible cough, and an ear infection sometime late last week. After much deliberation, we went to the doctor (and with the ear infection and bad cough, I think it was with good reason). We were afraid with all the crud going around he would come home with something worse than what he went there with. The doctor gave him some antibiotics and now Reece is well on his way to getting better. He postponed Reece's 9 mo check up, which was supposed to be on the 23rd, so no shots until the 30th now. Unfortunately they are all out of the seasonal flu shots and still don't have the H1N1 vaccine in. Kind of makes it scary to take Reece out in public places (or send him to day care!). So this video is of the Boogie Sucker. Normally he fights me everytime I try getting those nasty boogers out! But I guess this time it felt good! He was holding his head up willingly and was laughing so much everytime I'd suck out the "yuckies."

The weekend flew by fast! We went out for supper with Michaela and Ben Friday night. Afterwards they took Reece back to their house for a few hours while we went to the Love and Theft, Gloriana, and Jason Aldean concert with Em and Keith and Kieth's family. Lots of fun! Saturday we were pretty busy around the house and at night we watched the Hawks win over Michigan State! Sunday we went to church and then to Papa Allen's house for lunch. Reece loves the farm! There is always something to watch!

Well this week looks to be a busy one. We have the doctor appointment and Trick-or-Treating at AEGON on Friday. Saturday we will head up to Auntie Andy's for more Trick-or-Treating.
